I grew up in Michigan, where reading the Free Press is a daily ritual. So I’m very excited to be featured there today! The headline is “D.C. Prosecutor Writes Winning Legal Thriller.” It’s a funny piece that talks about my job as a prosecutor and what it was like to have my bosses review the “steamy sex scenes” in my novel. Check out the full article here.
Lovely article! I must admit, I am immeasurably impressed that you were able to write from 5 to 7 every morning *while pregnant* and working full-time. I’m at the end of my second trimester right now and, yeah, pretty much nothing could pull me out of bed before 7 on a regular basis.
I love what you do with your recaps. My husband sent me the link to your site a few months ago in an email, the subject of which read “The single greatest use of the internet to-date.”
Thanks so much, Bria! Wow, your husband’s subject line may be the best compliment my blog has ever received. Congratulations on your pregnancy! I actually read somewhere that women are at their most creative when they’re in the second trimester of pregnancy. Something to do with hormones. I have no idea if that’s right, but it inspired me to keep writing when I was pregnant — gotta use those hormones for something good. I hope everything is going wonderfully for you and your little one!
